Octoport´s dock step LYSS is a clever and elegant solution for boarding a yacht to compensate the distance between the quay and the gangway. The main attraction are the backlit teak steps so that the dock step LYSS becomes an eye-catcher in the dark and at the same time conveys a feeling of safety when boarding.
Made entirely of carbon, a dock step with three steps and a mirror polished stainless-steel handle on the side weighs only 24 kilograms. The colour and finish can be customised to the individual needs of the owner. Yacht logos and names can also be incorporated by octoport as well as a storage bag, rechargeable battery and one, two or three steps.
BACKLIT TEAK
A NEW DIMENSION OF DECK LIGHTING
With backlit teak, octoport offers a completely new product for the yacht industry and an innovative item for owners and designers to play with. The patented illuminating caulking technology can be adapted for any kind of use on board superyachts and their tenders. Using teak in yachting standard the octoport deck can be glued, sanded and cleaned like any conventional teak deck.
Alongside warm and cold white lighting, there are also other colors available, including disco/club mode to surprise your guests with a blinking floor – controllable via a smart device app. The RGBW-LED has energy class A+ and needs a minimum teak thickness of 22mm.
